The Complete Checklist for Buying a Social Media Account in Nigeria

Before you start: decide what you need
Most bad purchases start with buying the first account that looks good. Before you look at any listing, decide what the account is for: promoting a business, building content in a niche, or something else. Then decide which audience you need, which niche fits, and the most you can spend.
This matters because an account is only worth what it does for you. A large account whose audience is in another country, or in a niche unrelated to yours, may be worth little to a Nigerian business, however many followers it shows.
Step 1: Check the followers, not just the number
A follower count tells you very little on its own. Look at how many people actually interact. Open several recent posts, not just the best one, and compare the likes, comments and views with the number of followers. A simple way to estimate engagement: add up the likes and comments on a few recent posts, divide by the follower count, and multiply by 100.
Then look at who the followers are. Ask the seller for screenshots of the account's analytics showing audience country and views, and check that they match what you can see on the account. A large audience from unrelated countries, or lots of generic comments from empty profiles, can be a warning sign that followers are inactive or not real.
Step 2: Check the age and the activity
An older account has a longer history, which can show steady posting over time. But age alone is not enough. An old account that has been inactive for a long time can be worth less than a younger account that posts regularly, so check recent activity as well.
Scroll back through the posts. Do they stay in one niche, or has the account changed topic several times? Ask the seller directly whether the account has ever been restricted or received warnings. If the answer is vague, treat that as information.
Step 3: Check what access you get
Access decides whether the account is really yours. Ask whether email access is included, whether a phone number is linked, and whether two-factor authentication (2FA) is on. Ask whether you will be able to change the email and password after delivery.
Without email access, you cannot fully secure the account, and the previous owner may still be able to take it back. For a Facebook page, make sure you are given full admin access and that all previous admins are removed. If the old owner keeps access, they can return.
Step 4: Check the seller and protect your payment
Be careful if a seller rushes you to pay, offers a price far below similar accounts, refuses to show proof, or only accepts a direct transfer with nothing on record. Pay in a way that leaves a trail you can point to later.
On MAJEEKLOG, listings are approved by an admin before they appear. You pay from your wallet and see the total, including the escrow fee, before you confirm. Once the order is delivered, your login details show on your orders page. If the account fails or is not as described, you can open a dispute from your orders, and if it is approved you are refunded to your wallet.
Step 5: Secure the account straight after delivery
As soon as you receive the account, change the password. Then change the linked email address and phone number to ones only you control. Turn on 2FA, preferably with an authenticator app, and save the backup codes somewhere safe.
Log out of other devices and sessions, and remove any connected apps you do not recognise. In the first days, avoid changing everything at once, such as the name, bio and niche together, because sudden changes may look suspicious to the platform. If something goes wrong early, take screenshots and open a dispute from your orders.
Know the risks
No purchase of this kind is risk-free. Selling and buying accounts can go against the rules of some platforms, and a platform can restrict an account at any time. Escrow and disputes give you a process and a record, but they cannot stop a platform from taking action. Read our rules and only spend money you can afford to lose.

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to buy a social media account? There is always some risk, because platforms can restrict accounts and may not allow buying or selling them. You can lower the risk by checking the account carefully, paying in a way that leaves a record, and securing the account right away.
What if the account stops working after I buy it? Take screenshots or a screen recording, avoid repeated login attempts, and open a dispute from your orders as soon as possible. If the dispute is approved, you are refunded to your wallet.
How do I know the price is fair? Compare it with listings for similar accounts in the same niche, size and age. A price far below similar accounts is a reason for extra caution, not a bargain.
